Hospital Charity benefits from party donation.

Rockley Park Owners Association rallied round to show support for Poole Hospital after their Vice Chairperson Stuart Chinnery’s battle with Bowel Cancer.
Stuart was so grateful to all staff for the care and compassion shown he was inspired to approach the association to use their annual cream teas as a large fundraiser.
The annual cream tea has been running for 12 years but this year owners and companies gave prizes, baked and donated to raise £603 for Poole Hospital Charity. Over 60 owners and friends enjoyed cream teas at Yarrells School in Upton with entertainment from singer songwriter Sarah Yeo.

Stuart said “My thanks go to the staff at Poole Hospital; they are the hardest working people I have ever met and always have a smile for patients”
Stuart and Terry presented Stuart’s clinician’s Mr Ahmed, Dr Flubacher and Danielle with a fruit cake, flowers and cheque to say thank you for their care and compassion.
Poole Hospital Charity funds equipment and facilities for the hospital that are over and above NHS provision. Fundraising Manager Farah Batchelor said “We are so grateful for the support from Stuart and Rockley Parks Owner Association .On Stuarts request this money will be used towards equipment in the radiotherapy unit.”
The radiotherapy team treat 135 people a day on average, and the charity is fundraising for a piece of equipment to position patients in order to treat the site of cancer with even more accuracy.
