Covid-19 Charity Statement

Last updated 18th March 2020

With the on-going development of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are dedicated to ensuring that our donors and fundraisers are supported at this time.

If you are fundraising in aid of Poole Hospital Charity (including SPRING or Gully’s Place), we appreciate that many fundraising actives take place outside of the home. We therefore advise that you adhere to government guidelines when choosing to organise or carry out fundraising activities. In addition, we advise all of our fundraisers and supporters to follow guidance on how to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus. This guidance can be found on the NHS website.

Sponsored Events

For our fundraisers who have booked a place on a national run or challenge in aid of Poole Hospital Charity, we advise that you not only follow government guidelines and medical advice, but that you also monitor the information released from the event organiser.

Poole Hospital Charity offer charity places for some events including London Marathon, Poole Festival of Running, RideLondon, Dorset Plane Pull, Ultra Challenge and Camino Way Charity Trek.  Although these places are purchased via the charity, these events are organised by 3rd parties and therefore we recommend that all participants follow the guidance published by the event organisers. In a case where an event is postponed or cancelled, we will again follow the guidance set out by the event organisers. This will include advice on whether tickets can be transferred to a later date.

As a charity we are taking this matter seriously and will continue to monitor and adhere to government guidelines.

As always we would like to thank everybody for your continued support, and ask that you stay up to date with charity news via our Facebook our twitter feed, which we will use to deliver key updates.

Poole Hospital Heroes

We’re proud of how our dedicated frontline workers are responding to the coronavirus pandemic. From doctors and nurses to porters and cleaners, they’ve all stepped up to support our community.

Many of you have generously said you want a way to thank them. The Poole Hospital Heroes fund is your way of showing your appreciation.

Your generous gift won’t be used to pay for equipment and services the government has committed to funding.

Instead we’ll use it to help boost staff morale. That might be providing a free brew, healthy snack or home comforts whilst they are away from their loved ones.

Supporting their mental health and well-being is vital during this unprecedented crisis.

Your donation will help our amazing staff get looked after as they look after our community.
